Welcome...I'm an associate professor of sociology at the University of Manitoba, in Winnipeg, Canada. I also coordinate the UM's undergraduate degree program in Global Political Economy. I'm interested in how human societies interact with their environments, and in the ways in which societies decide what and how to produce the stuff that makes them happy (or that they're told will make them happy). Take a look at the Research tab above if you want a better (or just longer) explanation, and some examples of my published work or works-in-progress. If you're a student, you can find course materials under the relevant course code in the navigation bar.
